Travel Guide

One of the great gifts of our era is the ability to travel freely in most of the world. Below are some websites we've found useful in helping with travel plans.
Cruise Critic -- One of the best if not the best website for keeping up on cruise information, everything from reviews of cruises to details on the newest ships.
TripAdvisor advertises its unbiased reviews. Experience has taught us that no one is "unbiased," but you can read the reviews from people who have actually stayed in a hotel and form your own opinion. We prefer it over any of the more formal guides.
The Travel Mavens website specializes in cruises and golf, but offers insights into many other areas of travel.
Peter Greenberg Worldwide is the website of award-winning TV travel journalist Peter Greenberg, a graduate of UW-Madison. It covers virtually all of travel, everything from dining and business travel to finding deals and understanding a new culture.
ITA Software -- Go to this website for and click on the "Search Airfares" button and you get a comprehensive listing of flight options for your trip. It's not the only place you should check, but it gives a thorough look at the options available.
